Monet is design review for AI-built websites. AI can build a site in a minute, but it cannot tell you the hero feels cramped or the type is fighting itself. Monet makes that judgment expressible by hand: capture any site, mark up what is wrong with Apple Pencil or a finger, and Monet hands your coding agent a structured work order with screenshots, selectors, computed styles, and acceptance criteria. When the agent replies, Monet recaptures the page and diffs every annotated region, so a fix only counts when the pixels changed. Available on iPhone, iPad, Apple silicon Mac, and Windows.

The short version of the story
AI writes the code now. What it cannot do is judge the result, and that judgment moves fastest through the hand. Monet was built on that idea: the fastest way to say what is wrong with a screen is to point at it.
A mark lands on the pixels, and underneath, Monet resolves what was touched into the element, its selector, and its computed styles. The person expresses judgment naturally. The agent receives precision. Neither has to meet in the middle.
Version 4.0, released in July 2026, brought Monet to iPhone, rebuilt Apple Pencil rendering so live ink stays under the tip on pages of any height, and connected Monet to agents on the return side of the loop, starting with the open source Hermes Agent from Nous Research.
Monet is built and maintained by one person. The handoff format is deliberately portable: markdown, structured JSON, and screenshots, with no lock-in to any single AI provider.
